Land Use Act (No 6 of 1978) Revocation of Customary and Statutory Rights of Occupancy for Overriding Public interest.
In Exercising the powers conferred on me under Section 28 of Land Use Act 1978 I, MALLAM ABDULRAHMAN ABDULRAZAQ, The Executive Governor of Kwara State of Nigeria hereby give the following Notices.
TITLE:
The Notice may be cited as Land Use Revocation of all Existing Customary and Statutory Right of Occupancy (KW 11287) and all Deemed interest(s) in and over parcel of land covering an area of about 500 Hectares situated at OKE-OSE, ALONG OKE-OYI OLD JEBBA ROAD, ILORIN EAST LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF KWARA STATE.
PURPOSE:
The land is set aside for the purpose of URBAN DEVELOPMENT MIX LAND USES (AFFORDABLE HOUSING, VOCATIONAL CENTRE FOR WOMEN AND CHILD, RELOCATION OF MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE, SITE AND SERVICE SCHEMES).
DESCRIPTION:
The above-named land can be technically described as follows:
Starting from a Point D having Latitude 08º 35’ 2.7” and Longitude 04º 39’ 40.34” thence in North Easterly direction on a bearing of about 65º 46’ at a distance of about 2012.5m to Point E and thence in a South Easterly direction on a bearing of about 155º 46’ at a distance of about 1750.0m to Point F and thence in a South Westerly direction on a bearing of 245º 25’ at a distance of about 369.5m to Stream which flows in a North Westerly direction at a distance of about 1399m and thence in a South Westerly direction on a bearing of about 215 º 24’ at a distance of about 80.0m to Point KWRE.974 and thence in a South Westerly direction on a bearing of 219º 51’ at a distance of about 264.4m to Point KWRE.973 and thence is a South Westerly direction on a bearing of about 225º 19’ at a distance of about 305.5m to Point KWRE.972 and thence is a South Westerly direction on a bearing of about 222º 31’ at a distance of about 296.7m to Point KWRE.971 and thence in a South Westerly direction on a bearing of about 216 º 36’ at a distance of about 289.0m to Point KWRE.970 and thence in a South Westerly direction on a bearing of about 217 º 37’ at a distance of about 338.6m to Point KWRE.969 and thence in a South Westerly direction on a bearing of about 230 º 30’ at a distance of about 66.5m to Point C and thence in North Westerly direction of about 335 º 46’ at a distance of about 1750m to Point D which is the starting point; thus, having a total area of about 500 Hectares. All bearings are with reference to Universal Transverse Mercator in Minna Datum.
Note: All interested person(s) should submit their interests/claims with relevant documents to the Executive Chairman, Kwara State Geographic Information Service, Commissioner’s Lodge Way, GRA, Ilorin within 21 days of this publication; Compensation will be assessed in accordance with the relevant laws.
